I’m a massive Scrooge when it comes to the holidays, but I love good music. Especially when played by tubas.

My little sister is the tuba on the far left wearing the blue stocking cap.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Said sister and Tuba were transported in the TA, a practical and spacious hauler.

Wish me luck on my trip home tomorrow, I watched 3 accidents happen tonight.

If you are anywhere near your parents, then play it as safe as you can. It’s gnarly out there apparently. We are buckling down waiting for Monday. Lazy weekend.

Well, it is December in the Midwest. Could be 50° or -17°.

Winter tires for the TA?

When you come “Home” to your parents whatever you call it now . Let me know I’ll buy you a beer and we can talk cars, diecast, whatever. I live right down the street.

I’m certainly hoping for the above freezing end of that range but the high for tomorrow is 18*. The TA is on new Comp-2 all seasons.

Yeah, if I’m in the neighborhood I’ll let you know and we can hang (probably not for a couple months though).

Is this the beginnings of a MO Oppo meetup? (please pardon the intrusion...) If not, maybe we need to set one up.

I’m probably down whenever the weather isn’t super shitty. I live out west.

Maybe after New Years or start of C&C, or lemans? Just need a couple weeks or a month advance to plan it.

I just added myself to the map. I’m out east, just south of downtown STL, near Soulard (Mardi Gras patrons tend to use up all the parking in my neighborhood and use my lawn as their garbage can).

I changed jobs earlier this year, reducing my commute from 20 miles (out in Westport Plaza) to a Metro facility 2 miles from home. With last night’s ice covered roads it didn’t take me all that long to get home, as opposed to the hours it would take from Westport in similar conditions.

Snow doesn’t bother me, as I thought it would, having moved here from Los Angeles; ice, on the other hand, scares the crap out of me, mostly because of the other idiots out there. I like my rare little Mazda and don’t want anything to happen to it, particularly since I wouldn’t be able to buy an equivalent new vehicle at any price (at least not in the US).

Being in construction I work all over, this week St. Charles & close to home, to downtown , edwardsville, Belleville, & beyond.

I agree snow is manageable. I’ve driven down 270 around 50mph in 4"+ in my old Jeep and around High Ridge in my old metro after driving in from Dayton through a snow storm after Indy.

Email XJ Rabbitt at G mail and it’ll go to my phone.

This job in st.chuck will likely go to New Years, so if you want to plan something for 2 week of Jan depending on wether, I’ll be good.

As someone that played Tuba all the way through middle school and high-school I approve of this message

Also... if you are in need of a stocking stuffing for her, 7 Nation Army for the Tuba is the best thing ever

Yeah, she was an all-state Tuba player in high school, and marched in college. I’ll try to find some good sheet music too.
